Small Business Person of the Year Nominations Posted: Monday, January 18, 2010 2010 Small Business Person Award
Purpose To recognize a small business owner who exemplifies professionalism, strives to enhance our community and has made a positive impact on the local economy. Selection Criteria

Any member of the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce associated with a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation or professional practice in the Greater Florence area is eligible for nomination. Elected officials, employees of government and not-for-profit organizations are ineligible unless they are also involved in a for profit business and meet the other eligibility requirements. Selection Process
Nominations will be reviewed by a selection committee appointed by the Chairman of the Chamber, one of whom will be a representative from the Small & Minority Business Division and a representative from Darlington Raceway. The selection committee shall choose the Small Business Person of the Year from nominations submitted by Chamber members. Recipient Honors
The recipient will receive a plaque to be displayed at the recipient’s place of business. The Small Business Person of the Year will be announced at the Chamber’s Spring Economic Outlook Luncheon and will be nominated for the Small Business Administration’s National Small Business Person of the Year Award in November/December 2008. 2002 recipient - R.
